 Ilindenska Regatta OHRID 2003

Traditionally, the Ilinden Regatta has been taking place since many years ago in Lake Ohrid. It is organized on the occasion of Ilinden, the Republic of Macedonia's national holiday. This unique parade in sailing sport is included in the official ISAF (International SAiling Federation) calendar.

Last year's regatta that took place on the 1st and 2nd of August was dedicated to the centennial of Ilinden and Macedonian stateship. Great number of sailors from our neighboring countries sailed on a wind that one can only dream of. The lake was under sails for two days long, making this international event one of the most massive recent manifestations in Ohrid. In turn, it managed to draw the attention of printed and electronic media, of the public, as well as of our current sponsor, AMAC SP, one of the most successful companies in Macedonia. All together, we hope that this year's Ilinden Regatta will be even more successful. More sailors and more admires of this sport will be invited to participate.

Participation:International Sailing Regatta Optimist class "Belgrade Trophy 2007"

AMAC SP - Bofor Sailors returned from Republic of Serbia after participating in the International Sailing Regatta Optimist class "Belgrade Trophy 2007" which took place between the 19^th & 21^th of October 2007 at Savsko lake, Belgrade - Republic of Serbia.

AMAC SP - Bofor Sailors Achieved the following results:

Class Optimist (General)
Aleksandar Farmakovski 3^rd place

Class Optimist (Girls)
Martina Kanevce 2^nd place
The remaining participants reached between the 11^th and 17^th place. The total number of optimists was 46 from three countries Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia.

Event: South East European Open Optimist Championship
Venue: Lake Palic, Serbia
Period: 2-6 May 2007

...This new event on Lake Palic in northern Serbia proved a great success. Proposed at last year's meeting of the Balkan group of countries to promote sailing in the re-structured part of the region, it attracted entries from Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia itself and . . . . and Japan!....

The SEEOOC was organized by the International Optimist Dinghy Association.
